Everyone is out to make the "next big bag" and here recently Ultra Cornhole released their plans to do just that. On July 22nd, 2019 Ultra Cornhole posted on social media that upon submitting their bags for approval to the American Cornhole League (ACL) that they were making adjustments to their line up.
Below is the line up they gave us:
- Cobra/CobraX
- Vapor/VaporX
- Loosey
- Raptor/RaptorX (grandfathered in)
- Viper/ViperC
- Widows
- Psycho (yet to be released)
- Butter? (on ACL approved bags list?)
Vipers were the first new series of theirs to release and it took little time for Ultra to close orders off as the bags were very much anticipated. Orders are being opened back up off and on to maintain supplies and to keep demand high. Vipers took off on the boards and started showing up everywhere. Facebook was flooded with pictures of people showing off their new equipment in their arsenals. Bags are being sold for $100+ a set of 4 while they aren't available and raffled off for even more.

According to Ultra Cornhole's website, "This bag is quite unique." If you were to see these bags up close you'd notice and feel the new patent-pending "Speed Control Technology" placed into the design of the bags. The speed control technology is said to be "an array of dots that are arranged in a specific pattern to slow the speed down on the bags."Â The primary difference between Viper and Vapor-C is a slight difference in fabric to accommodate a slightly stickier reaction on the boards. The next release date is TBD. One order per customer.
As if this release wasn't enough... Here come the WIDOWS!!!
Widows were the second of the new series to release and didn't fall short of expectations either. Widows were taken off the market similar to its counterpart the Vipers. These new Widow bags were a hit. To this day people are scavenging to try and get a set into their hands. Everyone is highly anticipating the next release date (TBD) so they can sit at their computers or mobile devices to see if they're fast enough to grab a set before they sell out again. Bags are being sold for $100+ a set of 4 while they aren't available and raffled off for even more.

According to Ultra Cornhole's website, "The Widow has been tailored to be slightly firmer and slower than the Viper bag. The Speed Control on the Widow is slightly more than on the Viper. So you can expect the bag to play slower on both sides compared to the Vipers. The primary difference is the flex of the fabric is better and the friction around the edges is minimal.  This bag has been designed to be loose and forgiving but also controllable in the hand." Limited to one set per order.
